Six years ago I purchased a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport.  At the time, I had no real knowledge of what to look for, what to avoid, or that this one simple purchase would become the start of an automotive addiction.

I had heard good things about the Cherokee, and was in the market for a 4x4.  An acquaintance happened to have two of them for sale, so soon a bargain was struck and my new baby was soon parked in my driveway.

Now, years later I have decided upon a new project.  While wandering through a small scrap yard, I happened upon a lonely and neglected 1993 Jeep Cherokee Country.  After finding out that the body was in remarkably good shape, I felt that I couldn't let the poor thing go to the crusher.  So begins our saga...
